How much does it cost?
The plugin is free.
Do I need WordPress?
Yes, the plugin only supports WordPress. We recommend WordPress 4.0 or later, though reports indicate that it works fine on WordPress 3.x. Wordpress is the most popular platform for blog creation, and provides a ton of great features for food bloggers.
When someone clicks “Save Recipe”, what happens?
When your readers click the “Save Recipe” button, it will launch the BigOven Clipper, which lets any BigOven member save a private copy of your recipe and/or add to to their grocery list. All clipped recipes saved to BigOven are shown without instructions – BigOven provides a link back to your blog so you get the full “link juice” and search engine benefits.

How do I know which plugin is right for me?
The BigOven Recipe SEO Plugin is great for food bloggers looking for automatic “rich snippet” markup for SEO purposes and simple recipe card formatting options.
For bloggers who’d like more robust recipe card formatting options, we recommend enabling the “Save Recipe” button within EasyRecipePLUS.
For bloggers continuing to use the Ziplist plugin, you can install the Save Recipe button to replace this lost functionality.
See the Plugins for Food Bloggers page for more details on these options as well as BigOven integration with Recipe Hero and WP Ultimate Recipe.
I’m a cook who uses Ziplist to save my favorite recipes from around the web. What about me?
We’d love to make it easy for you to move all those recipes to the BigOven recipe organizer, so you can make grocery lists, menu plans, share and keep notes and photos of recipes, and much more.
At this writing, we are awaiting data samples of the “saved recipes” so we can build an easy conversion tool for existing Ziplist end-users. It is our intent to make this migration easy.
I have additional questions, comments or concerns.
